Welcome to the West Florida Dive Club

p4303232

We are a Non-Profit Dive Club in the Pensacola area, who enjoy diving and the camaraderie of other divers. Our membership consists of divers from all walks of life and age groups with many different interests. The one thing we all have in common is our love of Diving. We are very fortunate to live in an area rich with all kinds of diving opportunities, from Wreck Diving on the Worlds Largest artificial reef, The USS Oriskany to some lesser known but very popular sites such as the Russian Freighter, as well as several shore dives. We have a life time of sites to offer, and people to share that passion with. We are currently meeting at the Bay Beach Inn (Old Quality Inn) in Gulf Breeze the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM. Browse the site and if you have questions please feel free to contact me or any other members under the Contacts for more information about the area, and the great diving that the area has to offer.

UWF Archeology Department to visit WFDC

This is an exciting one to everyone that I've talked to and holds a lot of interest for the diving community. Dr. Gregory Cook of The University of West Florida Nautical Archeology Department will be our guest speaker at our meeting on July 7th, 6:30 PM, at the Bay Beach Inn in Gulf Breeze to share insight and details about all the exciting diving and exploration taking place in the waters in our own backyards, to include the Luna Wrecks. Dr. Cook will also be bringing some artifacts from the wrecks in the area so if you're like me the anticipation level is pegged at full high for this one. We hope to see each of you there!
